For this commission I looked up photos online of the restaurant where he proposed, and used them as a reference to draw the scene. And the background is made up of places the couple had visited, such as Venice and the Leaning Tower of Pisa.

When someone orders an Engagement Cartoon I often suggest getting the background done as a sort of “collage”. With a few locations that are meaningful to the couple.
So here we have Powerscourt Waterfall & Edinburgh Castle. Also included are a reference to him being a baker and her a paramedic.

Email from customer : “I’m enquiring in getting a picture off you for my newly engaged son and and beautiful daughter in law to be! They have recently moved into their new house and a picture from caricature gifts would be the perfect gift. My son is an electrician in Dornan engineering a perfectionist and loves out door pursuits from farran co cork. His fiance is a hairdresser in Peter mark and from caherciveen co kerry. They have recently moved into there New house in Forrest Carrigadrohid on Nov 8th! They are a fun loving couple who love sentimental items. I would love a framed cartoon image of them both. I will forward on pictures to you”

The background is the courtyard of Trinity College Dublin, with the chapel behind. I did the wedding date in a chalk effect on the cobblestones, in front of the couple.
Ordered for a couple who recently had twins and bought their first house. Both Liverpool fans.
“My friends got engaged at Christmas and I am looking to get a caricature done. If you could put a dress and heels on Becs and a shirt and jeans on Jason, on bended knee with the sparkly ring. - is from Killenaule (Co. Tipperary) and works as deli manager for Dwyer's Butcher's in Killenaule
- big Tipp supporter
- If the dog could be on a lead with his name 'Mikey' even just barely visible and the hens following behind
- Maybe add in sweat bands on her wrists and forehead just to emphasise the jogging theme
- Could you add in a speech/thought bubble with the phrase "Jasus I'm wrecked lads!"
- And a can of Bud in her other hand!
